Neogen uses the ionization of nitrogen gas to form plasma energy, which penetrates deeply within the skin to target the entire skin structure. The depth of treatment stimulates the body to create new collagen, resulting in skin tightening, brightening, and smoothing out of the appearance of the skin’s surface and texture. Unlike older technologies, such as CO2 lasers, the surface of the skin (epithelium) remains intact, allowing for a faster healing experience.
NeoGen can be used for many skin conditions:
- Facial and non-facial rhytides (wrinkles)
- Pigmented lesions
- Acne scars
- Pore size reduction
- Active acne
- Melasma
- Scar revision
- Stretch marks
- Actinic keratoses
- Viral papilloma (wart)
Each client receives a customized treatment program under the direction of Dr. Kents and/or a NeoGen specialist. This program will take into consideration client goals, while ensuring client safety. Various energy levels may be used during each treatment. Higher levels of energy target deeper into the skin, but require more time to recover. Lower levels of energy may be required for certain treatment locations or skin conditions.
Results are not immediate. Visible results can be seen as early as 7-10 days after treatment. Clients can expect ongoing improvements for up to 3 months for low energy treatments, 9 months for medium energy treatments, and 1 year for higher energy treatments. Clients may require additional/repeat NeoGen treatments to reach desired outcomes.
NeoGen treatments should not be performed if you:
- Have a pacemaker or other active implants
