Treatment Day
Your time in clinic will vary depending on the indication:
- Eyelid treatments: 60–90 minutes
- Benign lesion removal: 15–30 minutes
- Tattoo removal: 30-60 minutes
- Other lines/scars: usually 30–60 minutes depending on size and location
During treatment:
- A topical anesthetic is applied; injectable freezing can be requested for tattoos.
- The Plexr device is applied in a grid or targeted pattern.
- Carbon crusts form, which must be left to fall away naturally.
Healing & Downtime
- Carbon crusts fall away in 5–14 days.
- The treatment area must be kept completely dry until all crusts have naturally fallen off. This applies to all ablative Plexr treatments, including tattoo removal.
- No soaking, swimming, saunas, or hot tubs.
- Avoid heavy sweating and exercise until crusts resolve.
- Quick showers are fine, but the treated area should not be saturated
- Redness and swelling can last up to 7–10 days.
- Treated skin may remain pink for weeks to months as it remodels
- Strict sun protection (SPF 40+) is essential for at least 3 months.
Results
- Blepharoplasty & Line Treatments: Each session typically reduces skin laxity by 20–30%. Depending on your starting laxity and desired endpoint, repeat treatments may be recommended for optimal results.
- Lesion Removal: Permanent once healed.
- Scars: Progressive improvement over 1–3 sessions, with continued collagen remodeling for months.
- Tattoo Removal: Most clients need 3–4+ sessions, spaced 5–6 weeks apart, for significant lightening. Complete removal may not always be possible, but most clients achieve excellent clearance
